Low-Mileage 2006 Cadillac XLR-V Convertible Set for Glendale Auction

A low-mileage 2006 Cadillac XLR-V convertible is scheduled to cross the auction block Thursday, March 19, at Glendale 2026, offering collectors a rare opportunity to acquire a high-performance luxury roadster with limited production numbers and documented ownership.

The vehicle shows just 4,829 miles on the odometer and has remained with a single owner since new, contributing to its well-preserved condition. It is one of 1,147 XLR-V models produced for the 2006 model year, with only 299 finished in the Light Platinum exterior color, adding an extra layer of exclusivity.

At the core of the XLR-V is a supercharged 4.4-liter Northstar V-8 engine rated at 443 horsepower. The powerplant is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring driver shift control, delivering a balance of performance and refinement. The car is further equipped with a performance cooling package and a performance-tuned suspension system that incorporates Magnetic Ride Control, designed to adapt to changing road conditions.

The exterior design reflects Cadillac’s V-series performance identity, highlighted by signature wire mesh upper and lower grilles, a distinctive front fascia, and a sculpted hood. Supercharged and V-series badging reinforce the car’s position within Cadillac’s performance lineup.

Inside, the cabin combines luxury and technology with heated and cooled eight-way adjustable seats featuring sueded fabric inserts. Leather-wrapped upper interior components contribute to a premium feel, while a Bose AM/FM audio system with a six-disc CD changer, DVD-based navigation, and voice recognition provide entertainment and convenience.

The power retractable hardtop allows the XLR-V to transition between coupe-like comfort and open-air driving. Included with the vehicle are original materials such as the window sticker, owner’s manuals, navigation disc, and V Performance Academy DVD, along with tools for manual operation of the top.

With its low mileage, single ownership history, and limited production figures, the 2006 Cadillac XLR-V represents a distinctive entry into the modern collectible performance segment.

Mecum Glendale will be selling over 2,000 collector vehicles at the State Farm Arena March 17-21. Visit their website to see all consignments and collections, buy tickets and register to bid onsite or online.
