Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has commissioned a unique project for his wife, Priscilla Chan: a custom-built Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT minivan. The transformation, executed by the renowned team at West Coast Customs, has likely resulted in the world’s first “Porsche Cayenne minivan.”
On the surface, this Cayenne Turbo GT retains much of its original sporty aesthetic, including the striking color palette that matches Zuckerberg’s Porsche 911 GT3, complete with black wheels and yellow brake calipers. However, the vehicle’s transformation becomes evident upon closer inspection. West Coast Customs extended the SUV’s wheelbase and replaced the standard rear doors with powered sliding doors, reminiscent of a traditional minivan setup, providing enhanced accessibility and space.
Zuckerberg shared images of the one-of-a-kind build on his Facebook account, captioning them with: “New side quest. Priscilla wanted a minivan, so I’ve been designing something I’m pretty sure should exist: a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Minivan. Threw in a manual GT3 Touring to make it his and hers. Thanks @porsche and @westcoastcustoms for helping to make this happen.”
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, the foundation for this custom build, is the most powerful iteration of the Cayenne lineup. It features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of producing 650 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system, delivering exceptional performance. Despite the minivan conversion, the Turbo GT retains its impressive 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 189 mph.
With West Coast Customs known for their expertise in transforming luxury vehicles, the creation of this Porsche minivan showcases their ability to blend performance, style, and practicality. It’s a unique twist on the conventional family car, tailored perfectly to the needs of the tech mogul’s family.
