McLaren Senna Crashed For Instagram Likes Car Finds a New Owner for $326,500

The notorious 2019 McLaren Senna, which went viral after being totaled in a dramatic crash on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, has found a new owner. Sold at an auction for $326,500, this car’s story is as jaw-dropping as its performance specs once were.

The crash occurred during YouTuber Edmond “Mondi” Barseghian’s first drive of his McLaren Senna. While performing donuts for the cameras, Barseghian lost control of the 789-horsepower supercar and slammed into a Lexus dealership. Rumors suggest the crash may have been intentional, as Barseghian has a history of stunts, including crashing a brand-new GMC Hummer EV with only nine miles on the odometer.

The Senna, once capable of 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 208 mph, was left in ruins. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, carbon fiber monocoque, and iconic butterfly doors were all impacted in the crash, leaving the car with a salvage title.

Listed by the insurance company that paid out a staggering $1.3 million to its original owner, the Senna was described as having an “actual cash value” of the same amount. Photos revealed extensive damage to the front end, deployed airbags, and missing components, yet the safety cell appeared intact.

Despite its wrecked state, bidding for the Senna reached $326,500, with a Georgia-based buyer claiming the highest bid. Whether the car will be restored to its former glory or turned into a collector’s piece remains to be seen.

This McLaren Senna, once celebrated for its cutting-edge engineering and breathtaking performance, now begins a new chapter. It stands as a testament to the supercar’s resilience—and a reminder of the perils of pushing limits for internet fame.
