One of the most anticipated hypercars in recent history has officially touched down in the United States. The Mercedes-AMG One, powered by a Formula 1-derived hybrid powertrain, has been spotted on display at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Manhattan, signaling the imminent start of American customer deliveries.
Finished in a striking Diamond White with exposed carbon fiber accents and Petronas Green detailing, this AMG One is among fewer than 300 examples that will be built globally. Its arrival marks a major milestone in Mercedes’ multi-year effort to bring F1 technology to the road.
Prominently showcased on the dealership floor, the New York-based example is believed to be one of the first AMG Ones to reach U.S. soil. Photographs of the car circulating online show its aggressive aerodynamic design and F1-inspired interior, including a steering wheel adorned with the same green accents found on the car’s shark fin and AMG branding.
At the heart of the AMG One is a hybrid powertrain directly lifted from the 2015 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W06 car—the same car that carried Lewis Hamilton to his third world championship and Mercedes to a dominant constructors’ title. The system pairs a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 with two electric motors to produce a combined 1,063 horsepower.
Designed to be the ultimate bridge between Formula 1 and the street, the AMG One delivers cutting-edge performance with a top speed exceeding 217 mph and a 0-60 mph time under three seconds.
With its complex engineering and limited production run, the AMG One stands as a technological showcase and a symbol of Mercedes-AMG’s motorsport legacy. U.S. enthusiasts and collectors now have their first real glimpse of the hypercar as deliveries across the country begin to ramp up.
