Collector Acquires Lamborghini Murciélago With Just 225 Miles in 17 Years

A car collector and YouTuber has acquired what might be the world’s lowest-mileage Lamborghini Murciélago—a 2007 LP640 with an astonishingly modest 225 miles on the odometer. Even by the standards of rare and well-preserved vehicles, this Murciélago stands out as a time capsule from the past.

The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, celebrated for its ferocious 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 640 horsepower, was the flagship supercar of its time. First introduced in 2006, the LP640 brought blistering performance, capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Yet this particular example has barely seen the open road.

Despite its ultra-low mileage, the car wasn’t without its quirks. The collector noted a few issues that needed addressing due to the car’s long periods of inactivity. Common problems with dormant supercars, such as aging seals, dried-out components, or minor mechanical tweaks, often arise when vehicles sit unused for years.

“When a car hasn’t been driven much, it’s almost like it’s frozen in time,” the collector remarked. “It’s a beautiful thing to see such a pristine example, but it does mean you’ll need to invest in making sure it’s road-ready again.”

The LP640’s condition, however, is a testament to its meticulous care over the years, with its original paint, interior, and other features appearing factory fresh. The collector’s discovery has sparked conversations among enthusiasts about whether this could truly be the lowest-mileage Murciélago in existence, a claim difficult to confirm but undeniably compelling.

For fans of the Murciélago and Lamborghini history, this pristine LP640 represents more than just a car—it’s a preserved icon of Italian supercar engineering. Whether it remains a museum piece or finally gets the chance to hit the road remains to be seen.
