Mystery Machine Replica Van Set to Draw Attention at Glendale 2026 Auction

A meticulously restored 1986 Chevrolet van styled after the iconic Mystery Machine is scheduled to cross the auction block at Glendale 2026 on March 21, offering collectors a blend of nostalgia and custom craftsmanship.

The van, built as an accurate tribute to the famous Scooby-Doo vehicle, features a 350 cubic-inch V-8 engine paired with a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Designed for both performance and presence, it is equipped with power front disc brakes and power steering, enhancing drivability alongside its visual appeal.

The exterior captures the unmistakable look associated with the animated series, finished in green, blue and orange with period-correct graphics and floral patterns. A clear coat adds durability and shine, while new five-spoke wheels and wide whitewall tires complete the retro-inspired appearance.

Inside, the van has been extensively customized to reflect its theme. The seating area showcases professionally rendered graphics of Scooby-Doo characters, along with captain’s chairs and side benches designed for comfort and visual impact. A custom dog biscuit-shaped table adds a playful touch, reinforcing the vehicle’s connection to the beloved franchise.

The cockpit includes a functioning Ghost Finder panel, which operates interior lighting and a distinctive klaxon horn. Additional features include a high-definition flat screen TV, a Bluetooth-enabled head unit, and a premium sound system connected to an external public address system.
