The owner of a 2021 Koenigsegg Regera is trying to sell the rare hypercar after driving it for just 900 miles. This stunning Koenigsegg, one of only 80 ever made, was originally sold for $1.9 million, and its value has nearly doubled over the years. Now, this particular Regera, featuring the exclusive Ghost Package designed for increased downforce, is being listed for sale by several dealers around the world.
The Regera is no ordinary car. Equipped with a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and three electric motors, it boasts a total output of 1,500 horsepower. This powerful setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach 249 mph in a mere 20 seconds. The Ghost Package adds a redesigned front splitter, side sills, canards, and fixed winglets, enhancing its track capabilities. The vehicle also features Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, carbon-ceramic disc brakes, and six-piston calipers for superior stopping power.
Despite these impressive specifications, the Regera’s current owner seems eager to part with it. The car is listed for sale on multiple platforms, including a Dubai-based dealership, SBX Cars, which was founded by Alexandra Hirschi, also known as Supercar Blondie. The dealership, which specializes in luxury models and hypercars, has previously sold high-profile vehicles, including a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster for $6 million.
This particular Regera, painted in a striking Nordic Light blue with a white leather interior, is currently being auctioned online. However, with only one bid of $325,000 so far, the sale seems to be a challenge. The car has also appeared on other platforms, including a Swiss website where the price is available upon request, and the duPont Registry, where it was listed last winter for $2,999,998.
The Regera’s owner likely expects to sell the car for a price within the $2.7 to $3.2 million range, based on previous sales of similar models. Despite its limited mileage and high demand, finding a buyer willing to pay this premium might take time. The car’s rarity and performance specs make it a highly sought-after item, but potential buyers may be cautious, given the substantial investment required.
As the auction continues, enthusiasts and collectors alike will watch closely to see if the Regera finds a new home. Whether the next owner drives it more than 900 miles remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: this hypercar, with its unparalleled performance and exclusivity, will always be a standout in the world of luxury automobiles.
