Of all the Corvette generations, for many the C2 is by far the most beloved. Introducing the sharper, more aggressive Stingray design language and evolving with each model year, plus increased performance, quite a few enthusiasts and collectors also consider 1967 to be golden. When you throw in the COPO designation, you have a real star on your hands.

Lotus wants to make self-driving sports cars.

That’s why many eyes will eagerly be watching this 1967 Chevy COPO Corvette when it crosses the auction block in Glendale next month. Few of these exist, making this particularly clean example quite the catch.

Adding to its rarity is the Silver Pearl over Bright Blue factory color scheme, a combination only possible for the 1967 model year through Chevy’s Corporate Office Production Order system. This is one unique American sports car.

If that’s not enough allure, know that under the hood sits a numbers-matching 427 big block V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Such a combination of factors makes for quite the factory build, which is why so much interest surrounds this lot.

Other features further distinguish this C2 Corvette, including factory headrests, transistorized ignition, side exhaust pipes, Delco AM/FM radio, power disc brakes on all four wheels, plus Rally wheels with redline tires.

Inside and out, this classic looks pretty clean and definitely would turn heads and more at any meet or show. The new owner should have plenty of fun with this ride.

According to Mecum, which will be auctioning off this ’67 Corvette, documentation of its known history will be included in the sale. Among the items is the Corvette Order Copy tank stick, Protect-O-Plate, and trim tag. These help validate the paint and interior colors are the factory original, which is one of the chief selling points for this vehicle. The owner is also including the factory original fuel tank with the tank sticker intact.

Cars like this don’t come around too often, so we expect bidding to be intense. Check out the lot listing here.
