A rare Koenigsegg Agera “X,” one of only seven examples ever built, is set to go under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s auction in Paris on February 4, 2025. Expected to fetch up to $2.4 million, this exceptional hypercar represents a remarkable piece of automotive engineering and design.
Originally crafted in 2011 for a German collector, the Agera X boasts a 950-horsepower, 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Capable of breathtaking speeds, this hypercar exemplifies Koenigsegg’s dedication to innovation and performance.
What makes this Agera stand out is its striking design. It features exposed matte carbon-fiber bodywork finished in satin, believed to be a first for the factory. The two-tiered Formula 1-inspired rear wing enhances aerodynamics, while red “claw” stripes with white borders accentuate the front clamshell. The vehicle’s nine-spoke Vortex Generating Rims not only add visual appeal but also improve brake cooling and increase downforce.
Inside, the cabin underwent a significant upgrade in 2020, transforming from white leather to black leather and Alcantara with red stitching. In homage to Koenigsegg’s Swedish heritage, the interior incorporates the colors of the Swedish flag into the seat design.
With just over 20,000 kilometers (approximately 12,427 miles) on the odometer, the Agera X remains in near-pristine condition. Recently serviced at an official Koenigsegg dealership in Munich, it is ready to deliver peak performance to its next owner.
The Agera’s name, meaning “ageless” in Greek and “to take action” in Swedish, perfectly embodies its enduring appeal and dynamic capabilities. For collectors and enthusiasts alike, this auction presents a rare opportunity to own a hypercar that combines exclusivity, performance, and striking design.
