Rolls-Royce has unveiled one of its most heartwarming bespoke creations yet — a custom-built Spectre inspired by a family’s beloved dog.
Called the Spectre Bailey, the one-of-one electric coupe was commissioned by long-time American clients through the brand’s Private Office in New York. The car was designed as a tribute to their Labrador-Golden Retriever mix, Bailey, with nearly every detail carefully tailored to honor the dog’s memory.

The exterior pairs two bespoke paint colors — Crystal Fusion and Beautiful Bailey — the latter developed to replicate the subtle golden hue of the dog’s ear. A hand-painted coachline features a delicate paw print, while the signature Spirit of Ecstasy ornament is finished in Rose Gold.
Inside, the craftsmanship reaches an emotional and technical peak. The centerpiece is an intricate portrait of Bailey crafted from over 180 individual pieces of veneer, forming a lifelike image without the use of stains or dyes. Nine different wood types were used to achieve 22 natural shades, including four rare veneers chosen to capture Bailey’s tongue with exacting precision.
Additional touches continue the tribute: paw prints appear as marquetry on the dashboard and on the door sills, engraved in matching Rose Gold. The cabin’s leather trim — finished in Moccasin and Crème Light — was selected to echo Bailey’s coat, accented by Royal Walnut veneers throughout.
Phil Fabre de la Grange, Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce, said the project embodied the brand’s mission to turn deeply personal stories into tangible works of art.
The Spectre Bailey also underscores the new direction for Rolls-Royce’s bespoke division, as the company’s first fully electric model becomes a platform for highly individualized creations. With demand for personal commissions at record levels, the project shows that even in an era of electrification, craftsmanship and emotional connection remain at the heart of the Rolls-Royce experience.
