Singer and Bugatti Lead Bonhams|Cars Auction in Miami With Seven-Figure Sales

A reimagined Porsche 911 by Singer and a rare 1994 Bugatti EB110 were the top performers at Bonhams|Cars’ latest auction in Miami, held alongside the city’s high-profile Formula 1 weekend. Both cars exceeded seven figures, reflecting strong demand for modern-era collectibles.

The 1990 Porsche 911 Turbo—known as “The Sun Valley Commission”—was the top seller, reaching $1.68 million, including premium. Built by Singer Vehicle Design, the car featured a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter Mezger engine and had just 267 miles on the odometer. As with many Singer creations, the car drew attention not only for its performance but for its bespoke craftsmanship, offering bidders a chance to bypass the company’s notoriously long waitlist.

Close behind was a 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT, which played a pivotal role in reviving the marque in the 1990s. One of only 84 GT variants, this example retained its original V12 engine, radio, and rare toolkit. With just over 30,000 kilometers logged, the car offered both historical significance and originality—key factors in its high value.

Other highlights included two entries from Ford’s limited-run GT program. A 2019 Ford GT Carbon Series, finished in a custom orange hue exclusive to The Orange Collection, fetched $828,800. Meanwhile, a nearly unused 2021 Ford GT MkII—number 44 of 45 built—sold for $722,400.

Classic American muscle was also represented, with a 1970 Plymouth ‘Hemi’ Superbird in Hi-Impact Vitamin C orange achieving $425,600. Rounding out the top five was a 2005 Ferrari 575 Superamerica, a rare open-top V12 grand tourer, which brought in $403,200.

The auction underscored a growing appetite for modern classics and limited-production performance cars, particularly those with originality and low mileage.
