Three standout Ford Mustangs from the Jay Cimino Collection will take center stage at the Classic Car Auction Group’s upcoming sale on October 25, 2025. Each example captures a different flavor of Mustang heritage—from early pony car roots to personalized open-top touring—showcasing why these 1960s icons remain among the most collectible cars of all time.
1965 Ford Mustang Coupe – Original Style and Colorado Heritage

Leading off the trio is a 1965 Mustang Coupe, finished in Aqua after a detailed repaint and restoration. Under the hood sits a 289-cubic-inch V8 paired with a C4 automatic transmission and dual exhaust. The interior has been refreshed with new upholstery, carpet, and headliner, while the chrome and brightwork present nicely. Originally a Wimbledon White Denver DSO car, it’s believed to be an original A-code V8 example. Solid underneath and clean throughout, it’s a driver-quality Mustang that reflects both care and history.
1966 Ford Mustang Convertible – Classic Looks and Easy Cruising

Next is a 1966 Mustang Convertible in its factory-correct White exterior over a Black interior, powered by a 289 V8 and automatic transmission. The car was cosmetically restored and fitted with a new convertible top, featuring a clear rear window and freshly redone upholstery. Chrome and stainless trim show well, and the bumpers appear either new or recently re-chromed. This one’s a true cruiser—perfect for sunny weekends and easy top-down drives.
1965 Ford Mustang “Jay Roadster” Convertible – Custom Comfort and Personality

The final Mustang is a reflection of Cimino’s personal taste—a 1965 Mustang Convertible affectionately known as the “Jay Roadster.” Finished in white with a bold blue stripe, this custom convertible features power steering, power windows, air conditioning, and a custom Sports Roadster tonneau cover. The interior ties the whole look together with matching blue-and-white accents, giving it a show-car personality. With 89,000 miles shown and thoughtful upgrades throughout, it’s ready for both display and enjoyment.
All three Mustangs will sell at no reserve from the Jay Cimino Collection, a well-known Colorado-based assemblage of carefully maintained collector cars.
