High-performance and track pedigree will take center stage at the upcoming Henderson Collector Motor Series Auction on Saturday, May 3, with two Mercedes-AMG GT4 race cars among the featured lots at the prestigious Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

These purpose-built GT4 machines represent AMG’s factory-developed customer race platform—offering elite track-day capability and championship-winning performance. The pair includes a 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT4 (VIN: AMGGT4190181128) and a 2017 model that has been updated to 2020 specifications and boasts an impressive racing résumé (VIN: AMGGT41990181012).

The 2018 AMG GT4 is offered in turnkey condition, developed by Mercedes-AMG with a naturally aspirated 4.0L twin-turbo V8 and lightweight construction optimized for GT4-class racing. While specific mileage and racing history on this car were not disclosed, its inclusion signals a ready-to-run machine ideal for competitors and serious track enthusiasts alike.

Even more compelling is the 2017 AMG GT4, a proven WRL (World Racing League) GT0-class winner. Updated to 2020 homologation spec, this example was professionally maintained and shows extensive recent service, including new fuel pumps, filters, and foam (January 2025). Mechanical refreshes cover suspension, drivetrain, brake systems, and electronics, with detailed service intervals noted. The engine has just over 41,000 km, while the transmission and suspension have significantly fewer kilometers, reflecting careful upkeep.
Notably, this AMG GT4 finished second overall in the 2023 WRL GT0 Championship, and was retired after that season. The car suffered only minor contact during its final race weekend—repairs included OEM panels with no structural damage reported. It has since been returned to full homologation spec, making it ready for another season of competition or as an elite-level track day weapon.
Both cars are available for bidding at no reserve, making this a rare opportunity for motorsport professionals, collectors, and driving enthusiasts to secure German-engineered race machinery with factory pedigree.
