Trio of Classic Corvettes to Headline Specialty Auto Auction in May

Three standout Corvettes from the revered Gene Lang Collection are set to draw serious attention at the 2025 Spring Specialty Auto Auction on May 10, with each car representing a unique slice of Chevrolet’s golden-era performance history.

Leading the lineup is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie (Lot #50), restored to an exacting standard with an extensive nut-and-bolt rebuild. The black-on-red convertible boasts the famed 375-horsepower 327ci fuel-injected V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission, with the fuel injection system professionally rebuilt just 90 miles ago. Seller notes call it “one of the nicest cars in the collection,” and the odometer reads just 4,342 miles—though titled mileage is exempt due to vehicle age. Only a soft top is included, but the condition reportedly leaves little to be desired.

Just one lot earlier, Lot #49, bidders will encounter a beautifully restored 1958 Chevrolet Corvette finished in red with a matching red interior. Restored by Jack Wallace Vintage Corvettes, this example features a 283ci V8 with dual four-barrel carburetors and a 4-speed gearbox, capturing the spirit of the late ’50s American sports car craze. Engine block markings read F033IC, providing additional provenance.

Rounding out the trio is a 1965 Corvette Coupe (Lot #51) finished in black with a black interior, believed to retain its original survivor paint. Powered by the L84-spec 375-horsepower 327 Fuelie and also paired with a 4-speed manual, this mid-year coupe features knock-off wheels and is said to run and drive excellently.

These vehicles are being sold at Specialty Auto Auction in Greeley, Colorado on Saturday May 10th. Visit specialtyautoauction.com to see all the vehicles for sale and register to bid.
