Nearly three decades after Tupac Amaru Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, one of the late rapper’s most recognizable personal vehicles is returning to the auction block. A 1996 Hummer H1 Eliminator once owned by Shakur is scheduled to be offered for sale later this month, marking another chapter in the vehicle’s well-documented history on the collector market.
The timing is notable. The year 2026 marks 30 years since Shakur’s death, an anniversary that continues to renew interest in his life, music, and personal belongings. The Hummer, one of his most visible and frequently discussed possessions, has changed hands before and has appeared for sale multiple times over the years.

The SUV was last publicly offered in 2022, when it failed to meet its reserve price and remained with its then-owner. Prior to that, the vehicle sold in 2016 during the 20th anniversary year of Shakur’s passing for $337,000, a figure that would translate to roughly $461,000 today. The current seller has not disclosed an expected price, but the Hummer is slated to cross the auction block at a Bonhams event in Scottsdale, Arizona.
According to published details, the Hummer remains largely in original condition, reflecting how it appeared shortly after Shakur purchased it. The odometer shows just over 10,000 miles, and the vehicle reportedly displays minimal wear despite its age. It is a four-door hardtop model finished in black, with Eliminator and Hummer branding visible on the exterior.

The vehicle was ordered with several factory and period upgrades, including Dick Cepek off-road lights, a bullbar with integrated lighting, front and rear winches, a grille guard, diamond-plate bumpers, and the GC package featuring oversized wheels and tires. Power comes from a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 engine.
Inside, the Hummer features a wood-accented interior with cream leather upholstery, privacy glass, and a rear sliding window. Period-correct technology remains in place, including a Clarion stereo system with a 12-disc CD changer, cassette deck, AM/FM radio, and a Sony GPS unit. During its previous offering, the sale also included music albums associated with Shakur and Michael Jackson, though it is unclear if those items will accompany the vehicle this time.

Whether the Hummer finds a new owner remains to be seen, but its return to auction underscores the enduring market interest in artifacts tied to Shakur’s legacy.
