2005 Porsche Carrera GT With Just 1,800 Miles Heads to Auction

One of Porsche’s most celebrated supercars, a 2005 Carrera GT with just 1,800 miles, is drawing major attention on Bring a Trailer. The analog V10-powered machine is expected to climb well past its current $1.75 million bid as collectors pursue one of the cleanest surviving examples.

Produced from 2003 to 2007, the Carrera GT was limited to just 1,270 units worldwide. Its reputation rests on a 5.7-liter motorsport-derived V10 paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. With 605 horsepower, the car accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and offers none of the modern electronic driver aids that have since become standard in high-performance cars. That raw, unfiltered character has made it a touchstone among enthusiasts and one of Porsche’s most sought-after models.

This particular example, chassis #0552, is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Terracotta leather. Originally delivered to its first owner in Georgia, it remained in single ownership until 2022, when it was acquired by the current selling dealer. Recent servicing included the completion of a factory recall and the installation of new tires, ensuring the car is fully prepared for its next caretaker.

Collectors will also note the inclusion of its original matching Terracotta luggage set, a detail that has become increasingly rare. The car has never been resprayed and lacks protective film, leaving the paintwork in factory-original condition.

With low-mileage Carrera GTs routinely selling above $2 million, the final price is expected to push higher before the auction closes. The listing highlights how analog-era supercars, especially those with preservation-level mileage, continue to command extraordinary premiums in today’s market.
