Classic Rolls-Royce Corniche Restomod Debuts With 500 HP and 300 Miles of Electric Range

A new era of electrified luxury classics is taking shape, as Halcyon and Evice Technologies have announced plans for a limited series of electric Rolls-Royce and Bentley restomods. The first of the bespoke builds, a Rolls-Royce Corniche dubbed “Highland Heather,” will debut at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace from Sept. 5-7.

The two firms, founded by the same trio of U.K.-based engineers, divide responsibilities between them: Evice focuses on electric powertrain development, while Halcyon specializes in restomods and bespoke craftsmanship. Together, they will produce just 60 examples across Corniche, Silver Shadow, Bentley Corniche, and Bentley T-Series models.

“Highland Heather” is finished in a purple paint scheme inspired by Scottish heather and features a dashboard sculpture that nods to the Scottish Highlands, where Rolls-Royce conducted early reliability trials in 1907. Buyers of future cars will be able to specify unique interior galleries, paintwork, and materials, ensuring each vehicle is a one-off creation.

The performance upgrades are equally dramatic. Each restomod uses a fully electric drivetrain producing 500 horsepower, paired with adaptive damping and an 800-volt electrical system for fast charging. Customers can choose between a dual-pack battery offering an estimated 250 miles of range or a three-pack layout stretching to 300 miles.

Modern amenities include a hidden infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a rearview camera and updated climate and audio systems.

Each build requires more than 2,000 hours of labor over 12 months. Pricing starts at £420,000 ($565,000), not including a donor car. First deliveries are projected for late 2026.
