Top-Tier Muscle, Deep Collections Headline Mecum Kissimmee 2026 Auction

Mecum’s 2026 Kissimmee auction, scheduled for Jan. 6–18, is shaping up as one of the marquee muscle car events of the year, with a deep slate of collections and several ultra-rare headline lots already highlighted in the run list.

The sale’s online catalog allows bidders to filter by auction day, vehicle type and collection, reflecting the scope of what’s on offer. Named groupings include the Great Lakes Collection, Funkmaster Flex Collection, Peach State Muscle Collection, Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage Collection, Kindig Collection, American Muscle Car Collection and several others, along with dedicated Road Art® groupings such as the Thomas-Martz and HotRod collections.

Among the early standouts on Thursday, Jan. 15, is a 1965 Pontiac GTO (Lot V371) equipped with a Tri-Power 389-cubic-inch V-8 and a four-speed manual transmission. Nearby in the run order, a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster convertible (Lot V409) appears with a 350/300-horsepower small-block V-8 and automatic transmission, followed by a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible (Lot V410) upgraded with a 393/450-horsepower V-8 and automatic.

A 1975 Chevrolet Corvette convertible (Lot V411) brings factory air conditioning, a 350-cubic-inch V-8 and a four-speed gearbox to the docket. Several prime pieces are marked to cross the block at no reserve, including a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS (Lot R407) powered by a 396-cubic-inch V-8 and automatic transmission, a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (Lot R408) with a 440-cubic-inch V-8 and air conditioning, and a 1969 Plymouth GTX hardtop (Lot R409) with a 440-cubic-inch engine and automatic.

Rounding out that Thursday no-reserve run is a 1955 Chevrolet 210 hardtop (Lot R410) featuring a small-block V-8 and automatic, a 1970 Chevrolet K10 pickup (Lot R411) with a 350-cubic-inch V-8 and four-speed, and a 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS hardtop (Lot R412) powered by a 396/325-horsepower V-8, automatic transmission and air conditioning. A second 1965 Pontiac GTO (Lot R422), this one running fuel injection and a five-speed manual, adds a restomod flavor to the classic muscle mix.

Friday’s portion of the previewed list includes a 1932 Ford Hi-Boy roadster (Lot V574) built on a Brookville steel body and frame with a 383-cubic-inch V-8 and automatic transmission. Two Pontiac Trans Ams — a 1978 model with a 400/220-horsepower V-8 and four-speed (Lot V575) and a rarer 1975 Trans Am with a 455-cubic-inch V-8 and four-speed, noted as one of 857 produced (Lot V576) — underline the event’s emphasis on 1970s F-body performance.

The top of the board for Saturday, Jan. 17, is reserved for some of the most desirable American muscle cars ever built. A 1971 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda convertible (Lot R814.1), described as one of five produced with an automatic transmission and restored by Julius Steuer, is listed as a main attraction. It is joined by a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV convertible (Lot R815.1), powered by a 400/370-horsepower V-8 and cited as one of 24 produced with a four-speed, and a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner hardtop (Lot R816.1), one of 59 cars built with a four-speed and 426/425-horsepower Hemi V-8.

Another highlight is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T (Lot R863.1) carrying V-code credentials with a 440/390-horsepower Six Pack V-8 and a four-speed transmission, reinforcing the strong Mopar presence in the headlining group.

With multiple days of consignment muscle, classic trucks, customs, Corvettes and high-profile collection cars, Kissimmee 2026 is positioned as a broad survey of postwar American performance — anchored by some of the rarest Hemi, Judge and big-block examples ever to reach the auction stage.
