According to records provided by the seller, the 911 SC—chassis number 9118202347—was purchased by a physician in 1988 from German Auto Haus in Burnt Hills, New York. At that time, the car showed just 15,959 miles. Over the following 37 years, fewer than 5,000 additional miles were added, a rarity for a car designed to be driven and enjoyed.
The 911 SC, which stands for “Super Carrera,” debuted for the 1978 model year with Porsche’s upgraded 3.0-liter flat-six engine, widely praised for its reliability compared with earlier iterations of the 911. This example retains its original engine and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission, maintaining its factory specification.
Recent servicing adds further appeal for collectors. In August, the car underwent routine maintenance by a German auto specialist, receiving four new Michelin tires, a fresh battery, and a New York State inspection. A full professional detailing was also performed in June, leaving the silver coupe ready for show or road use.
