A 2020 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, one of the most extreme iterations of the Aventador lineage, is set to highlight the upcoming Saratoga Motorcar Auction. The auction house announced the supercar, finished in its factory Nero Aldebaran exterior over Nero Cosmus interior, will be among the star consignments at the fall sale.

The SVJ—short for Super Veloce Jota—represents Lamborghini’s pursuit of maximum performance in its naturally aspirated V12 flagship. Powered by a 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder engine with multi-point injection and four valves per cylinder, the coupe delivers more than 750 horsepower through a seven-speed ISR gearbox. A permanent all-wheel-drive system featuring Haldex Generation IV technology distributes power to all four wheels.

Beyond its raw numbers, the Aventador SVJ was engineered with active aerodynamics, lightweight carbon-fiber components, and advanced chassis tuning that allowed it to set a Nürburgring production car record in 2018. The example offered in Saratoga includes Lamborghini’s Travel, Carbon Skin, and Style packages, along with standard amenities such as air conditioning, power windows, locks, steering, and seats.

The car remains highly original, carrying its factory paint and trim. With title currently in transit, the auction listing notes that sale proceeds will first satisfy a secured creditor’s claim before final transfer of ownership is completed.

For collectors, the SVJ represents the last chapter of Lamborghini’s purely V12-powered flagship era before the company transitioned to hybridized successors like the Revuelto. Its exclusivity and factory specification make it a compelling opportunity for bidders seeking both performance pedigree and investment-grade provenance.

The Saratoga Motorcar Auction will be held in September, with this Aventador SVJ expected to draw significant attention from supercar enthusiasts and investors alike.
The Saratoga Auto Auction takes place September 19-20. We anticipate more than 250 vehicles, several with no reserve and 100 lots of memorabilia. The auction is the highlight of several events including Thursday’s Preview Day and an evening concert. Plan a trip or register to bid online.
