Modern Car Collector is an independent news publication owned and operated by The Auto Wire LLC. We cover classic, collector and high-end automobiles: auctions, values, features and news.
What we publish
Every news story on Modern Car Collector is written or reported by a named member of our editorial team. Stories carry a byline and a publication date. When we update a story in a meaningful way, we show the update date and say what changed.
Accuracy and sourcing
We rely on primary sources where possible: auction house results and catalogs, manufacturer statements, registries, court and regulatory records, and direct interviews. We name our sources when we can and explain when we cannot. Prices and values are reported as published by their source and dated. We do not publish claims we cannot support.
Independence
Advertising, affiliate and sponsored content never decides what we cover or how we cover it. Sponsored and affiliate content is labeled as such.
Press releases and aggregation
When a story is based on a press release or another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link to the original, and we add our own context or analysis.
Use of AI
