A 2006 Pagani Zonda Riviera drew global attention after selling for $10.1 million during RM Sotheby’s inaugural Collectors’ Week in Abu Dhabi. The hypercar, offered in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Retail, became one of the standout results of the event and added another milestone to the Zonda’s long list of collector-market achievements.
The Riviera began life as a Zonda F before undergoing an extensive transformation through Pagani’s UNICO program, a process that allows owners to commission one-off designs directly from the factory. Chassis number ZA9C820C10SF76069 was reimagined with a series of aerodynamic and aesthetic changes that reshaped its identity. Among its most striking exterior updates are a roof-mounted air scoop, a carbon fin, a redesigned front bonnet and a rear wing modeled after the brand’s 760-series cars.
Inside, the hypercar received a full redesign tailored to a Riviera-inspired theme. The cabin features a pearl white and blue color palette paired with deep blue Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber accents. The combination gives the interior a bespoke character aligned with the exterior updates, further distinguishing it from standard Zonda F models.
Power is supplied by Pagani’s longstanding centerpiece: a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated Mercedes-AMG V12. In this configuration, the engine produces 750 horsepower, delivered to the rear wheels through a sequential transmission with paddle shifters. The drivetrain, combined with its lightweight structure, reinforces the model’s reputation as one of the most engaging analog hypercars ever built.
The Riviera’s sale underscores the continuing strength of the market for rare, factory-sanctioned Zonda builds, particularly those reworked under the UNICO program. With only one example configured to this specification, the car’s blend of provenance, craftsmanship and performance contributed to a final figure that exceeded $10 million once fees were included. For collectors, the result represents another reminder that unique Pagani creations remain among the most coveted modern hypercars available.
