A 1967 Ford Mustang ‘Eleanor’ Licensed 25th Anniversary Limited Edition sold for $550,000 at the inaugural Barrett-Jackson Columbus Auction, where it crossed the block at No Reserve as Lot 710. The figure stood out among the results at the new event, which wrapped up its first run this past weekend.
The fastback was built by Ikonic Concepts, a certified Eleanor builder, and is officially licensed by Gone in 60 Seconds LLC as a Limited 25th Anniversary Edition marking 25 years since the 2000 film. It is not a replica or tribute. Documentation accompanying the car included Eleanor certification paperwork, the body VIN plate and emblems issued by Gone in 60 Seconds LLC, a photo-documented rotisserie restoration build book, a framed movie poster, and authenticated photographs signed by cast members Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie. The dashboard carries the signature of Chuck Picerni, the film’s stunt coordinator.
Power comes from a Roush-supercharged Gen 3 Ford 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 rated at 750 horsepower, mated to a Tremec TKX Extreme five-speed manual with a hydraulic clutch. Output is routed through a modular 9-inch rear end with 3.50 gears. The suspension was upgraded with power rack-and-pinion steering, subframe connectors, a four-link rear, and adjustable front and rear coilover shocks, while Wilwood disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors handle braking.
The movie-correct bodywork wears two-stage paint with black rally stripes and several coats of clearcoat, along with the signature Eleanor side scoops and custom Eleanor-style wheels on ZR-rated tires. The cabin features logo-embroidered seats, a fold-down rear seat, Dynamat sound deadening, a custom roll bar with four-point harnesses, a teak-style wood wheel, and Velocity gauges. Modern equipment includes air conditioning, a Bluetooth stereo, USB charging, and LED accent lighting, with a backlit ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ logo between the taillights. The car has covered only shakedown miles since its restoration.
The sale adds to a run of strong results for licensed Eleanor cars on the auction circuit. For more from the event, see our full Collector Car Auction Recap: Barrett-Jackson Columbus coverage, and our earlier report on the First 25th-Anniversary ‘Eleanor’ Mustang Set for Mecum Indy Auction.
