The final weekend of June 2026 delivered a busy stretch for the collector-car market, with a major live sale wrapping up in Ohio, a high-profile online auction closing in Europe, and a headline-grabbing hypercar story building toward a summer sale. Below is a recap of the verifiable auction news and results from June 25–28, 2026.

Barrett-Jackson Wraps Up Its Inaugural Columbus Auction

Barrett-Jackson closed out its first-ever Columbus Auction at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds over the weekend, and the final two days produced the event’s biggest numbers. On “Big Friday” (June 26), nearly 200 No Reserve vehicles crossed the block alongside roughly 80 pieces of automobilia. A custom 1956 Chevrolet Corvette convertible and a 1932 Ford Highboy custom roadster formerly owned by Vic Edelbrock tied for the day’s top sale, each bringing $165,000. A charity highlight came from a custom 2022 Ford Bronco built in collaboration with NFL quarterback Joe Burrow, which hammered at $90,000 with all proceeds benefiting the Joe Burrow Foundation.

“Super Saturday” (June 27) delivered the marquee results. A 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder took top-sale honors at $2,695,000, while a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 set a world auction record at $1,045,000. A trio of modern Ford GTs combined for more than $2.8 million, and a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Anduril Edition sold for $150,000 to benefit the Call of Duty Endowment. In the automobilia ring, a 1920s Standard “Mae West” visible gas pump led the way at $138,000. Barrett-Jackson next heads to Las Vegas, Sept. 10–12.

RM Sotheby’s “Sealed June” Online Sale Closes

RM Sotheby’s online “Sealed June” auction wrapped up the same weekend, with lots closing in stages from June 24–26. The 25-lot catalogue leaned heavily on blue-chip modern and classic metal, headlined by a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT — one of just 80 finished in Guards Red — showing only 20,408 km from new. Other standouts included a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista, a 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Weissach, a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series II, and a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet previously owned by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. RM Sotheby’s returns to live action at Lake Tegernsee on July 4.

Seized Koenigsegg One:1 Heads Toward Auction

One of the weekend’s biggest talking points wasn’t a result but a consignment. A Koenigsegg One:1 — previously the subject of widely circulated “stolen” rumors but reportedly seized rather than stolen — is now heading to a German auction, where it is expected to bring as much as $11 million. With only a handful of One:1 examples ever built, the car’s saga appears to have done little to dampen collector interest.

Market Context

Beyond individual results, trade coverage over the weekend continued to focus on 2026 sell-through rates and bidding behavior as a clearer read on collector demand than headline hammer prices alone. The takeaway from the Columbus sale — strong results for blue-chip modern supercars and record-setting American muscle — tracked with the broader theme of selective, quality-driven buying.
