A vintage workhorse with a hard-to-find configuration is set to draw collector attention when it rolls across the auction block in July 2026.

The vehicle, a 1964 GMC K20 listed as Lot #FR0174, is a four-door crew cab pickup finished in tan over a brown interior. It is scheduled to sell on the auction’s Friday run day. What sets the truck apart from more common pickups of its era is its body style. Crew cab short bed trucks from the mid-1960s were produced in limited numbers, and a four-wheel-drive example adds to the rarity.

Under the hood sits a 5.0-liter 305 industrial engine paired with a TH400 automatic transmission, a combination known for durability and smooth shifting. The truck rides on a three-quarter-ton suspension and is equipped with heavy-duty power brakes, giving it the stopping power and load capacity that buyers of three-quarter-ton rigs expect. The four-wheel-drive drivetrain rounds out the off-road credentials.

The K20 has clearly received significant attention from its current owner. The build sheet lists a long roster of custom touches, including a wood bed floor, a leather interior and a steel headliner. The cabin features custom gauges and a 17-inch custom wood steering wheel, while the exterior sits on US Wheel 16-by-12 rims wrapped in 315/75/16 Buckshot tires. An electric air conditioning system has also been added, a welcome upgrade for a truck originally built in an era when factory air was far from standard.

The combination of period-correct GMC styling, modern comfort features and a rare crew cab short bed layout positions the truck as a standout among classic four-wheel-drive offerings. Collectors who favor functional restomods with genuine utility roots are likely to take notice when bidding opens next summer.
