A highly distinctive 1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV is scheduled to cross the auction block at Indy 2026, drawing attention for its rarity, provenance, and striking factory specifications. Identified by chassis number 5066, the vehicle stands out as the only example produced in Bleu Tahiti with gold accents paired over a white leather interior, making it a singular piece in Miura history.

The Miura is set to appear on Saturday, May 16, carrying an estimate of $60,000 to $75,000. With just 1,516 kilometers shown on the odometer, the Miura presents as an exceptionally preserved late-production European model. It benefits from refinements introduced toward the end of SV production, including a dry-sump lubrication system and factory air conditioning.

Power comes from a 3,929cc transverse-mounted DOHC V-12 engine, rated at 385 horsepower. The engine is equipped with four Weber 40 IDL3C carburetors and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission featuring a gated shifter, a hallmark of classic Lamborghini engineering. Performance is supported by a sophisticated chassis setup that includes four-wheel independent wishbone suspension with coil springs, tubular shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars, along with four-wheel ventilated Girling disc brakes.

Visually, the car is enhanced by gold Campagnolo 3-ear knock-off wheels wrapped in Pirelli CN12 Cinturato tires, along with chrome window trim and rear window louvers that emphasize its iconic silhouette. The Miura was originally delivered new in Italy and later underwent restoration by Cremonini Carrozzeria in Modena, a specialist known for its work on high-end Italian automobiles.

As one of the most celebrated supercars of its era, the Miura SV represents the pinnacle of Lamborghini’s early innovation. This particular example, with its unique color combination and low mileage, is expected to attract considerable interest from collectors seeking a rare and visually striking addition to their portfolios.
