Some cars are built to be admired, and others are built to overwhelm. The Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster falls firmly in the second group, and a barely used example has now surfaced for sale carrying a $2.6 million price tag.
The car has covered roughly 600 miles, leaving it close to factory condition. It also holds a notable place in the model’s short production run as the fifth of just 30 roadsters that Hennessey Special Vehicles plans to build. That limited count alone places it among the rarer hypercars a collector can chase.
Visually, the car makes its intentions clear. It wears Banner Green over exposed carbon fiber, a finish that leans into the aggressive character of the machine rather than softening it. The cabin takes a stripped-down, driver-focused approach, wrapped in black leather and carbon fiber with little in the way of distraction.
Underneath the bodywork, the engineering matches the styling. A carbon fiber monocoque forms the structure and keeps weight low, while adjustable Penske suspension and large carbon-ceramic brakes handle the demands of the powertrain. The roadster also features a removable carbon fiber roof panel, butterfly doors, a pronounced front splitter, and a sculpted tail with a large diffuser and quad exhaust outlets.
The heart of the car is its engine. A 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces a staggering 1,817 horsepower, sending every bit of that output to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automated manual transmission. The rear-drive layout, paired with that level of power, underscores just how focused the Venom F5 Roadster is on outright performance.
For buyers seeking something both extreme and exclusive, a nearly untouched example like this one represents a rare opportunity, and the asking price reflects exactly how uncommon it is.
