An extensively customized 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS resto-mod will cross the block at the 2026 Spring Specialty Auto Auction on May 9, bringing modern LS power, high-end suspension upgrades, and show-winning presentation to the event.

Finished in Exalta Candy Apple Red with a carbon fiber hockey stripe, this first-generation Camaro was built with serious attention to detail and already has major recognition to back it up, including a 2024 Goodguys Builders Choice Award.
Under the hood sits a highly detailed 6.0-liter LS engine equipped with Holley Terminator engine management, a sheetmetal intake, custom camshaft, and Hooker BlackHeart polished stainless exhaust system. A Cold Case radiator and serpentine front runner system help modernize the package, while Vintage Air adds comfort for cruising.

Power is sent through a built 4L60E automatic transmission with a B&M shifter and into a Fab 9-inch rear end featuring 3.73 gears, posi traction, and a billet support.

The chassis setup goes far beyond stock. The Camaro rides on QA1 tubular front suspension with adjustable coilovers, while the rear uses a Heidts four-link system paired with Detroit Speed mini tubs and adjustable coilovers. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes and a quick-ratio steering box further modernize the driving experience.
Visually, the build leans heavily into modern pro-touring style while retaining the iconic shape that made the 1967 Camaro famous. The laser-straight body is complemented by Detroit Speed headlight doors and motors, a Kindig carbon fiber rear spoiler, billet LED taillights, and staggered American Racing wheels measuring 18×8 up front and 18×11 in the rear.
Inside, the Camaro features a full TMI custom interior with a rear console, Classic Industries gauges, and a carbon fiber gauge bezel. The black cabin continues the modernized theme while still feeling connected to the car’s muscle car roots.

According to the listing, this build was designed for someone wanting an “over the top” first-generation Camaro without the years-long wait and expense of commissioning a custom build from scratch.
The 1967 Camaro remains one of the most desirable platforms in the muscle car world, and builds like this continue pushing the formula further with modern drivability, upgraded performance, and show-level presentation.

Would you drive this Camaro—or keep it parked under the lights at every car show possible?
