Custom 2012 Ford Mustang Sanderson Tribute Set for May 2026 Specialty Auction

A highly customized 2012 Ford Mustang Sanderson Tribute is scheduled to cross the auction block at the 2026 Spring Specialty Auto Auction on May 9, drawing attention for its handcrafted design and performance upgrades.

Listed as Lot 54, the coupe represents a Sanderson Custom conversion originally completed in 2012. The vehicle is finished in Performance White with silver racing stripes embedded beneath a high-gloss clear coat, creating a smooth surface where the striping cannot be felt. The exterior design emphasizes a factory-quality appearance, with molded body panels that include upper and lower scoops, side rockers, a rear deck spoiler, and distinctive custom fender vents.

The Mustang’s aggressive styling is complemented by a functional Ram Air hood and redesigned front and rear fascia. Billet grilles and integrated fog lights enhance the front-end appearance, while LED lighting and sequential taillights modernize the overall look. Custom badging and faded stripe detailing further distinguish the build.

Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by a Kenne Bell Mammoth twin-screw supercharged 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission featuring a short-throw shifter and a white Hurst knob. Performance enhancements include 4:10 rear gears, headers, X-pipes with high-flow catalytic converters, and a functional side exhaust system.

This Ford Mustang is equipped with Ford SVT adjustable race suspension, four-wheel drilled brakes, and Z-rated tires mounted on 20-inch wheels, supporting its high-performance capabilities. Inside, the Mustang features leather seating and a push-button start system, maintaining a balance of comfort and modern convenience.

With just 3,362 actual miles and described in excellent condition, the Sanderson Custom Mustang stands as a low-mileage example of a specialized aftermarket build. Its combination of handcrafted design, upgraded performance components, and refined detailing positions it as a notable entry in the upcoming auction.

Check out this consignment and over 100 others at the Specialty Auto Auction May 9th. The auction begins at 9 a.m. MT in Greeley, Colorado.
