A Chinese technology company known primarily for its vacuum products is entering the high-performance automotive space with a concept that pushes the limits of electric vehicle design. Dreame has revealed the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition, a battery-powered hypercar that it claims can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under one second using a dual solid-fuel rocket booster system.
The company provided limited technical details but indicated the vehicle’s propulsion system includes one or two rocket engines capable of delivering peak thrust of 100 kilonewtons. That output falls below the force generated by the ThrustSSC, the current land speed record holder, but still represents an unusually high level of thrust for a road-going vehicle. Dreame said the system can respond in 150 milliseconds, contributing to an estimated 0.9-second sprint to 60 mph. If achieved, that would surpass the current production benchmark set by the McMurtry Spéirling, which reaches the same speed in 1.4 seconds.

A promotional video released by the company highlighted several additional features, including air suspension, steer-by-wire technology and a LiDAR system intended to enable autonomous driving capabilities. The video appeared to be generated using artificial intelligence, raising questions about how much of the concept has been physically realized.
Dreame has not disclosed a production timeline or pricing details for the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition. However, the company’s decision to unveil the vehicle in San Francisco suggests potential ambitions to enter the U.S. market.
The concept is not without precedent. In 2024, Tesla signaled plans to incorporate SpaceX-inspired technology into a future Roadster model, including rocket-like enhancements. That vehicle, however, remains in development after years of delays. Similarly, Dreame’s hypercar exists as a concept, with its ambitious performance claims yet to be validated.
