A 1984 Trihawk 304, One of Only 96 Ever Built

This lot is a genuinely rare survivor: a three-wheeled Trihawk 304 built in October 1984 in California, one of a reported 96 examples produced before Harley-Davidson acquired the operation. It pairs a Citroen-derived 1.3-liter flat-four with a five-speed manual and front-wheel drive, and its two-front, one-rear wheel layout gets it classified federally as a motorcycle. Open-top, lightweight, and utterly unlike anything else at the sale, it’s a rolling piece of early-1980s microcar experimentation.

A 1958 Edsel Pacer, All-Original and Unmistakable

Edsel’s brief run as Ford’s ill-fated standalone division makes any surviving example a talking point, and this 2-door hardtop leans into that story rather than away from it. It’s an all-original car from the brand’s debut 1958 model year, complete with the vertical grille and sweeping lines that made Edsel instantly recognizable and, at the time, instantly polarizing. Ford shut the division down after the 1960 model year, so first-year cars like this one represent one of the shortest, strangest chapters in mainstream American car history.

A Retired NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Show Car

The most unconventional lot of the weekend isn’t a street car at all. This former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry is reported to have run at Talladega and Daytona during the 2011-2012 seasons before its racing career ended and it was converted into a display and show car. The original race engine has since been swapped for a high-performance crate engine paired with a smaller fuel cell, while the cockpit still wears its racing-spec seat, steering wheel, dash, and fire suppression system. It runs on race fuel, starts, and drives, and it’s being offered with a bill of sale only since it was never built for the street. For anyone chasing a genuine piece of stock car racing history rather than another restomod, this is about as real as it gets.

Beyond these three, the full sale floor is worth a walk-through for anyone who appreciates the unexpected. Previews are open Thursday, August 27th and Friday, August 28th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a $20 daily entry fee or a $40 three-day pass (kids 12 and under get in free with a paying adult).
