1969 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod Blends Classic Style With Modern Performance Heads to Spring Carlisle Auction

A fully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro restomod is drawing attention for its combination of classic muscle car styling and modern mechanical upgrades following a recent frame-off restoration completed in November 2025. Now it’s on its way to the Spring Carlisle Auction, where bidding is sure to cause a frenzy!

The Camaro underwent an extensive rebuild that addressed both structural integrity and visual presentation. Its body, floors, trunk and frame were refinished to a clean, solid condition, providing a strong foundation for the upgrades. The exterior now features a professionally applied satin hot rod black finish, complemented by a newly installed black vinyl top. Additional updates include new chrome accents, trim, weatherstripping and tinted glass, contributing to a refreshed and cohesive appearance.

Inside, the Camaro retains a classic layout with a new standard white bucket seat interior. A factory console and correct staple shifter preserve elements of the car’s original character while aligning with the restomod approach that blends old and new.

Under the hood, this Chevy Camaro is powered by a 2006 Chevrolet 5.3-liter fuel-injected V8 engine rated at 303 horsepower. The engine is paired with a rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt posi rear end equipped with 3:31 gears. Together, these components aim to deliver reliable performance suited for modern driving conditions.

Mechanical improvements extend throughout the car, including power steering and power front disc brakes. The Camaro also features newly installed steering and suspension components, along with completely updated brake and fuel systems. Performance enhancements include new shorty headers and a dual exhaust system, contributing to improved engine efficiency and sound.

Additional modern touches include electric hideaway headlights and a new set of US Mag Rambler wheels, measuring 18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear. These are paired with low-profile high-performance tires, enhancing both stance and handling.

Following the comprehensive restoration, the Camaro is described as running, riding and driving like new, reflecting the scope of the work completed. The vehicle is offered in as-is condition.
