No-Reserve 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 With 61k Miles Listed on Bring a Trailer

A 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe showing 61,000 miles is now live on Bring a Trailer at no reserve, offering bidders a first-year 964 finished in Guards Red with documented service and long-term single-owner history.

According to the listing, the car was ordered through Porsche’s European delivery program and remained with its original owner in Hawaii until 2022. It later moved through Washington State and Montana before being acquired recently by the selling dealer. The car retains its factory Guards Red paint over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.6-liter M64 flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and all-wheel drive.

Exterior features include a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, an electric sunroof, power-adjustable mirrors and tinted glass. The spoiler-control unit was rebuilt in March 2025, and the finish recently received paint correction, ceramic coating, and clear protective film across the front.

The silver 16-inch Design 90 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Exalto tires mounted in June 2025 along with new lugs. That same month, the front brake pads and vibration dampers were replaced and the air conditioning system—already converted to R134a—received a recharge and duct cleaning. Earlier records note replacement of the right-rear track arm bushings in 2018, and the selling dealer reports that the suspension has been freshly overhauled.

Inside, the car is equipped with power-height-adjustable black leather front seats, matching rear folding seats, a Sony CD stereo, power windows and cruise control. The four-spoke leather-wrapped wheel frames VDO gauges, including a 180-mph speedometer and a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline. The odometer shows 61k miles, roughly 100 added by the current seller.

The 3.6-liter flat-six was resealed in 2008, and the cylinder heads were rebuilt at the same time. More recent mechanical work includes replacement of the valve cover gaskets in 2018, new power-steering pressure lines, an oil service ahead of the sale, and repairs to the clutch actuation system in June 2025. Power is routed through all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox and a computer-controlled limited-slip differential. Transmission slave cylinders were replaced in 2018.

The car is offered with its owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report and a Montana title. The no-reserve auction is underway now on Bring a Trailer.
