Custom 1958 Corvette Kindig-It Roadster Set for 2026 Mecum Kissimmee Auction Block

A custom 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster built by the well-known team at Kindig-It Design is slated to cross the block at the Kissimmee 2026 auction on January 17. Listed as Lot R937, the car blends the unmistakable lines of a first-generation Corvette with the performance and technology of a modern build, anchored by a high-output Lingenfelter powerplant.

Under the hood sits a Lingenfelter Eliminator LS7 V-8 rated at 644 rear-wheel horsepower. The engine features polished Corvette-script valve covers and a Borla individual velocity stack-style chrome intake, giving the bay an eye-catching, period-inspired appearance. Power is routed through an automatic transmission paired with a floor shifter. The engine compartment is also signed by builder Dave Kindig, adding a personal touch from one of the most recognizable names in custom car design.

The exterior carries a classic two-tone theme with a black finish accented by white coves, complemented by chrome bumpers and polished details throughout. The undercarriage is fully finished and chrome detailed, and the car is equipped with Borla exhaust and a quick-connect trickle charger. A matching hardtop is included with the sale.

Inside, the Corvette is fitted with an extended red leather bucket-seat interior that departs from the original layout while retaining a vintage feel. Modern upgrades include power windows, a tilt steering column, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital custom analog-style gauges and a Bluetooth audio system. The car rides on independent suspension and features four-wheel disc brakes with red calipers, along with vintage-style polished alloy wheels that complete the look.

As restomod Corvettes continue to draw strong attention at major auctions, this Kindig-It roadster stands out for its craftsmanship, performance specs and blend of old and new. With its combination of show-level detailing and modern drivability, it is positioned to be a notable offering when it reaches the block in Kissimmee.

This amazing collection is being sold at Mecum’s largest sale of the year in Kissimmee, Florida. Visit the Mecum website to see other collections and vehicles on offer. Better yet, consign your car or collection today!
