Finished in red over a matching red interior, the Riviera Super Wildcat features Buick’s top-tier 425-cubic-inch V-8 rated at 360 horsepower. The engine is equipped with the rare dual four-barrel carburetion setup that distinguished the Super Wildcat package from standard Rivieras in 1964. Power is delivered through an automatic transmission.
Factory options on the car include air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, bucket seats with a center console, and an automatic headlight dimmer. Additional features such as cruise control, a speed alert indicator, a driver’s remote mirror, and color-coded floor mats reflect Buick’s push toward premium amenities during the period.
The Riviera also comes with wire wheel covers, dual exhaust, a trunk liner, spare tire, jack, and the original owner’s guide. Odometer readings are listed as exempt.
The 1964 Riviera is widely regarded as one of the most elegant GM designs of the 1960s, and Super Wildcat-equipped cars remain among the most sought-after. This example is expected to draw significant interest when it crosses the block at the Premier Auction Group event.
