Rare 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Hurst Heritage Edition Convertible Set for Mecum Indy 2026 Auction

A rare 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Hurst Heritage Edition Convertible is scheduled to cross the block at the Mecum Indy 2026 auction, bringing a combination of limited production exclusivity, modern muscle performance and custom open-top styling to the event.

The car, listed as Lot S157, is set to be offered on Saturday, May 16, during the annual auction. According to the listing, the vehicle is identified as No. 7 of a purported 30 Hurst Heritage Editions produced for the 2010 model year, making it one of the rarer variants of the modern Challenger lineup.

Power comes from a Vortech-supercharged 6.1-liter V-8 engine rated at 572 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering the type of driver-focused performance associated with Dodge’s SRT models during the resurgence of the American muscle car market in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

The odometer currently reads 1,880 miles, reflecting limited use since the car was built. Auction information notes that the reading indicates only the mileage currently displayed on the odometer.

Unlike factory-produced Challenger coupes of the era, this example features a convertible conversion completed by Droptop Customs. The open-air configuration adds another layer of rarity to the already limited-production Hurst Heritage Edition package.

Finished in silver with Black and Red striping, the Challenger carries distinctive styling cues that separate it from standard SRT-8 models. Exterior details include a factory hood with dual hood scoops, a front air dam, rear spoiler and 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels featuring Hurst Gold accents.

Inside, the car features Black leather bucket seats along with Hurst Package interior upgrades that include contrasting Red stitching and a Hurst shifter. The combination of performance modifications, limited production numbers and specialty convertible conversion positions the car as a standout among modern collectible muscle cars.

As demand for low-production performance vehicles from the modern muscle era continues to grow, the Hurst Heritage Edition convertible is expected to attract significant attention when it appears at Indy 2026

This year marks the 39th Mecum Indy with over 3,000 vehicles for sale and many lots of collectible memorabilia. Visit the website to see fantastic vehicles- MANY AT NO RESERVE!
