Russian rapper Navai was involved in a serious crash in central Moscow after losing control of his Ferrari 488 Pista near the RIA Novosti building on Zubovsky Boulevard.
Videos and images circulating online show the luxury sports car veering across lanes before striking a roadside signpost. The vehicle then slammed into a tree and came to rest on the sidewalk, drawing attention from pedestrians and passing motorists in the busy area.
Initial reports indicate Navai said he was traveling between 60 and 65 kilometers per hour, or roughly 37 to 40 mph, at the time of the accident. However, footage from the scene has fueled speculation that the Ferrari may have been moving at a higher speed before the driver lost control.
The Ferrari 488 Pista sustained extensive front-end and side damage during the crash. Based on the condition of the vehicle shown in photos and videos, the supercar appears to be severely damaged and potentially beyond repair. The estimated value of the Ferrari is around $750,000.
The 488 Pista is one of Ferrari’s most performance-focused road cars, featuring a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Power is delivered through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission capable of gear changes in just 30 milliseconds when race mode is activated.
The high-performance coupe can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.85 seconds and reach 124 mph in 7.6 seconds. Ferrari lists the car’s top speed at 211 mph.
