Early 1930s Chevrolet Classics Headline The Dallas Classic Auction This November

The Dallas Classic is gearing up to deliver an impressive lineup of pre-war automobiles as part of its two-day classic and collector car auction, taking place November 21 at 12 p.m. CT and November 22 at 10 a.m. CT at Dallas Market Hall. Among the standout entries are two beautifully presented early 1930s Chevrolets that showcase the brand’s evolution during a pivotal era for American motoring.

1932 Chevrolet BA Confederate Coupe

Set to cross the block on Day 1, this 1932 Chevrolet BA Confederate represents the second year of Chevrolet’s “Confederate” models and comes equipped with a 194 cubic-inch inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. First introduced in late 1931, the BA series brought style variety to the Chevrolet lineup with 14 available body styles.

This example features a period-correct appearance, previously refinished in blue with contrasting black fenders. Exterior details include dual horns, a headlight bar, chrome hood shutters, cowl lamps, running boards, and an eagle radiator mascot—touches that highlight Chevrolet’s shift toward a more refined and upscale design direction during the early 1930s. A fold-down luggage rack sits at the rear, and the odometer currently shows 98,000 miles, though it is listed as TMU.

1931 Chevrolet AE Independence Convertible Coupe

Also scheduled for Day 1, this 1931 AE Independence Convertible Coupe offers an open-air companion to the ’32 example. Powered by Chevrolet’s 194 cubic-inch “Stovebolt” inline-six and mated to a three-speed manual transmission, the AE model helped cement Chevrolet’s sales dominance at the start of the decade.

Notable features include 19-inch wire wheels, dual side-mounted spares, a fold-down luggage rack, cowl lamps, and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. With only 25 miles currently showing on the odometer (TMU), the car presents as a remarkably preserved piece of early Chevrolet history.
