A fully customized 1949 Chevrolet COE truck is set to cross the auction block at GAA Classic Cars auction in April 2026, showcasing a blend of classic styling and modern engineering. Scheduled to run on Saturday, the vintage cab-over-engine truck has undergone an extensive transformation, turning it into a one-of-a-kind showpiece built for both performance and visual impact.

Originally produced as a utilitarian work truck, this 1949 Chevrolet COE has been reimagined through a comprehensive rotisserie nut-and-bolt restoration. The project retained the iconic five-window cab-over design while incorporating a wide range of contemporary upgrades. Finished in silver with a black interior, the truck maintains a clean, refined appearance that complements its custom build.
At the core of the build is a 2019 Chevrolet Gen 5 LT 6.2-liter V8 engine, delivering 420 horsepower. The engine is paired with an 8-speed 8L90E automatic transmission, providing modern drivability and performance capabilities far beyond the truck’s original specifications. The vehicle is constructed on a late model Chevrolet heavy-duty chassis, reinforcing its structural integrity and road readiness.
Performance and handling have been further enhanced with features such as hydro-boost power brakes, four-wheel disc brakes, and a fully adjustable air ride suspension system. The truck rides on custom 22-inch dually wheels, giving it a bold stance while supporting its heavy-duty foundation.

Functionality and comfort were also key considerations in the build. The truck includes an 18-foot drive-on deck, making it suitable for transporting vehicles. Inside, the cabin is equipped with black leather upholstery, a vintage air system, tilt steering wheel, one-touch power windows, and Dakota Digital VHX gauges. Additional details such as smoked glass, billet steering wheel, and Altman door latches contribute to its custom character.

This unique COE truck represents a fusion of classic design and modern performance, making it a standout entry at the upcoming auction.
