The car is chassis No. 24 of 25 and the last bespoke Mirage GT that Gemballa completed in sequence, a distinction that gives it a particular place in the model’s short history. The German tuner conceived the Mirage GT as the ultimate expression of the Carrera GT, taking one of the most revered supercars of the 2000s and rebuilding it into something considerably more aggressive.
That rebuild started with the bodywork. The car received a comprehensive carbon fiber exterior conversion and wears Lime Rock Gray Metallic and black with Sun Yellow accents, a scheme that reads as restrained from a distance and anything but up close.
Underneath, the naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V-10 produces 670 horsepower with the help of Gemballa’s engine enhancement package, which includes revised ECU tuning, a custom ram-air intake and a free-flowing stainless steel exhaust. The six-speed manual gearbox is paired with an upgraded Gemballa sport clutch. Racing-inspired suspension components, internally ventilated ceramic composite brake discs, a KW front and rear axle lifting system, and a set of Gemballa forged motorsport-style center-lock wheels and tires round out the mechanical work.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Slate Gray Alcantara with yellow stitching and includes a carbon fiber interior package and an upgraded Gemballa multimedia unit with a data control system.
The car carries VIN WP0CA29804L001085 and has covered 100 miles since the conversion was finished. It comes with build records and supporting invoices from Gemballa that document what is described as one of the most comprehensive and expensive Mirage GT builds ever undertaken. A full service was performed ahead of the auction, with documentation, and applicable factory recalls have been completed.
