A 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger that pairs vintage pickup styling with modern muscle car power is the grand prize in the latest Classic Truck Dream Giveaway, a sweepstakes that raises money for veterans and children’s charities.
The truck is a ground-up restomod finished in High-Metallic Mocha Brown, and it arrives with show pedigree, having previously appeared on stage at Barrett-Jackson. Entries are earned through donations supporting the charitable causes behind the giveaway.

Power comes from a genuine Ford source: a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 producing 550 horsepower, output more commonly associated with muscle cars than classic pickups. The engine is matched with an overdrive automatic transmission and a durable transfer case, giving the four-wheel-drive truck the capability to perform on the street, the highway and rougher terrain beyond.
The build’s appeal goes beyond the drivetrain. The truck rides on 35-inch all-terrain tires wrapped around beadlock-style wheels, with a Rough Country suspension and a Ford 9-inch rear end rounding out the hardware. The combination gives the pickup an aggressive stance intended to deliver both performance and presence.

Exterior details include LED headlights, a custom rear roll pan and a genuine LUND OBS visor. Inside, the cabin blends old-school character with modern convenience, featuring digital gauges, Vintage Air climate control and Bluetooth audio.
The eventual winner will receive the keys and the title, and the giveaway will also cover $23,000 toward the federal prize taxes. Organizers note that past winners have come from a wide range of backgrounds, including military veterans, first responders, factory workers and everyday enthusiasts.

The truck is the kind of build that might otherwise end up in a private collection or on display at top-tier shows. Instead, it will go to a single winner, no bidder’s paddle required, with proceeds from the sweepstakes directed to charities serving veterans and children.
