The collection traces back to Grampa Born, who picked up a service station and restoration shop almost by accident while on a Minnesota vacation and never stopped adding cars. His son Doug Born expanded the business into Colorado in the late 1970s, forming Rocky Mountain Relics and TA & V8 Parts and turning the family into fixtures at swap meets from Hershey to the West Coast.
