A 2014 Ferrari 458 Speciale with just 8,800 actual miles is for sale from GAA Classic Cars at the auction house’s November sale, and it comes with a claim few cars can make: it is believed to be one of one in this specification. Finished in Rosso Corsa over a special-request Cuoio interior, the coupe is Lot ST0079.3 and is scheduled to run on Saturday.

The 458 Speciale holds a distinct place in Ferrari’s history as one of the most focused naturally aspirated V8 road cars the company has built. The 4.5-liter V8 in this car is factory-rated at 605 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, sent through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch automatic transaxle. In an era that has since moved to turbocharging, that kind of engine is the reason collectors keep coming back to the Speciale.

The factory painted stripe is one of the details noted in the GAA listing.

The exterior is understated by Speciale standards, and that works in its favor. Rosso Corsa paint is paired with a factory painted stripe that runs over the hood and roof, and the car has been protected with a full-body ceramic coating. The gray 20-inch wheels give it a purposeful stance without distracting from the shape.

Cuoio leather and carbon fiber define the cabin, as shown in the auction photos.

Inside, the car leaves the factory script behind. The special-request Cuoio interior contrasts with Goldrake carbon-fiber racing seats, and carbon fiber appears across the door panels, dashboard, trim, and seat frames. It is a cabin that looks like it was specified by someone who knew exactly what they wanted, which is part of what makes the one-of-one claim interesting.

Mechanically, the Speciale is built to be driven hard. Four-wheel carbon ceramic disc brakes manage the speed, and the dual-clutch transaxle keeps shifts quick. At 8,800 actual miles, this car appears to have been used sparingly, and the listing notes that it has been Ferrari serviced.

Documentation matters with cars like this, and the CARFAX Certified status adds a layer of confidence for bidders. Combined with the Ferrari service history and the low mileage, it gives buyers a clearer picture of how the car has been cared for. As always, serious bidders should inspect the car and review the records before the sale.

For collectors, the appeal comes down to three things: a naturally aspirated engine of this caliber, very few miles, and a specification believed to be unique. Those are the qualities that tend to separate a good Speciale from a great one, and they are all present in this Lot ST0079.3 example.
