Restomod builders continue to bet that buyers want vintage sheet metal without vintage headaches, and a 1974 Ford Bronco assembled by Velocity Restorations makes that case about as plainly as any truck on the market.
The Brittany Blue SUV, offered through RK Motors, carries an asking price of $249,900 and shows 3,478 miles since the build was completed. Underneath the familiar first-generation body sits Ford’s Gen III 5.0-liter Coyote V8, backed by a 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission and an Atlas two-speed transfer case. A Dana 44 front axle and a Ford 9-inch rear axle handle the load.

The chassis is new as well. Velocity built the truck on a Roadster Shop frame fitted with Bilstein shocks, power steering and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes, a combination aimed at highway manners as much as unpaved-road capability.
Outside, the original proportions remain intact, though the truck departs from stock in the details. A billet exterior package swaps out a long list of factory pieces for machined accents, joined by polished bumpers, period Bronco badging and LED projector headlights. Seventeen-inch polished Ultra alloy wheels in the “bullet hole” pattern wear BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires, and AMP Research power running boards deploy at the doors. Both a full black Bestop soft top and a matching bikini top come with the truck.
The cabin follows the same formula. Cognac upholstery with diamond stitching pairs with billet trim, a wood-rim steering wheel and a lockable Tuffy center console with USB charging. Dakota Digital gauges built to Velocity’s specification fill the dash, while a Pioneer NEX head unit adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera and Focal speakers. Power windows and air conditioning are also fitted.
